musings a go go

Since I moved back here in October, one of the things I have wanted to do was to go to the Louisiana Boardwalk in Shreveport/Bossier City. I have been to Shreveport since several times, but not for pleasure. Jared, Heath (his brother), Dana, (Heath's wife), and I went for the weekend and stayed at the Horseshoe Casino Hotel and had a great time. We ate at Ralph and Kacoo's (a GREAT seafood restaurant) Saturday evening, snd went to the Louisiana Boardwalk Saturday night (I was correct into thinking it was like Downtown Disney or Universal City Walk). We stayed on the 16th floor of the Horseshoe with a great view of the Red River and stayed up late roaming the vast casino and drinking free beverages-LOL. We went back to the Boardwalk Sunday morning and went to the Bass Pro Shop, Gap, Joe's Crab Shack and other places. It is very nice, and although it was VERY hot, we enjoyed ourselves and had a GREAT time, especially since Heath and Dana got a little vacation from their three kids for a weekend.
